Kindergarten to Primary Transition Activities

Walk hand in hand and set sail happily

Moving from kindergarten to primary school is an important milestone in a child's growth. We know that this change is not only a change in the school system, but also the beginning of children's independent exploration of society, so parents will inevitably have concerns and uneasiness in their hearts. To this end, the Kornhill family has already carefully laid a smooth "connection road", allowing learning and adaptation to occur naturally in care.

Diverse activities: from unfamiliar to confident

In late August, the four-day Primary One Orientation Day and Parent Seminar kicked off. The children walked into the classroom and learned to line up and organize their schoolbags in the game, gradually mastering the life of primary school; Parents learned about the school's philosophy through lectures, established trust and tacit understanding with the school, and effectively relieved their anxiety about going on to higher education.

In addition, warm figures can be seen everywhere on campus - the "love ambassadors" of the senior grades. These big brothers and sisters incarnated as "guardian little bodhisattvas" and accompanied the younger students during breaks and lunch breaks, guiding them to use the facilities and familiarize themselves with the surrounding scenery of the school. With the traction of their peers, the children found a sense of belonging on the Kornhill campus faster.

Growth ritual: the parallel between reason and self-care

We also value the whole-person development of our children. Through the solemn "opening ceremony", children comprehend the true meaning of learning and the expectations of being a person in the ceremony of writing the word "human" one by one.

In the "P1 Parent Lunch", parents witnessed their children queuing up in an orderly manner to pick up food and clean up tableware. In addition, through the collective cooperation tasks of the "Primary One Growth Day Camp", parents can also observe their children's performance in the group and promote home-school communication.

Every activity is our carefully designed ladder of growth. With the joint efforts of parents and teachers, children have embarked on a new voyage of primary school full of possibilities with confidence and happiness!
